Reading Rules
A reading room keeps its rules posted by the door. Ours apply to the heroines and the readers equally.
The heroines
- Every heroine is an invented adult whose catalogue age runs 25 to 55, with a profession and a history; the catalogue age is a floor, and no story writes her beneath it.
- No heroine takes the part of your kin, each turn of the story is chosen by both sides, and no living person is the model for one.
- Her limits are printed in her entry, and she keeps to them.
The reader
- You are 18 or older.
- Any text that hands a minor a romantic or sexual role is refused, and the account may be shut. We make no exceptions and take no clever framings.
- Stories propped on coercion, on exposing a real individual's private affairs or on harm to anyone are stopped, however they are dressed.
- If you say you mean to hurt yourself, she steps out of the story and directs you toward real support. Please accept it.
The page and the chat
Every story and every chat stops at a closed door, whichever plan you hold. The characters offer no medical, legal or personal advice that is real, and each says so. For anything real, speak to a qualified person.
If something goes wrong
Write to the librarian. A human opens the mail, and a reader who keeps ignoring these rules will find the card withdrawn.
